How to Wear it: the Grunge Trend
The 90’s grunge trend is undeniably in this season. Both high and low, from the St. Laurent Paris runway, to the latest Zara lookbook, grunge inspired fashion is everywhere you look. Understandably, grunge might seem a bit too unrefined for many women. The flannels, ripped up jeans and combat boots might not be your style. That’s probably because you got over your teenage angst faze a long time ago. That’s okay, there are actually many ways to incorporate grunge elements into your wardrobe while still looking put together, as well as age appropriate.
Try pairing a plaid silk blouse with a lady like pencil skirt and stilettos. Add a spiked statement necklace for an edge.
Or, pair a chunky 90’s knit with a distressed denim. This denim skirt in a pencil silhouette keeps it from being too sloppy. Add a combat boot with a heel and some grunge inspired jewelry.
