Trend Report: Fringe and Florals
Soft, folksy, and feminine, fringe and florals are not just for the music festivals this season. At T+P, our favorite way to wear them is admittedly, a bit less Stevie Nicks (which is not to say we don’t love her), and a bit more “American cow girl in Paris”, if that makes any sense. To clarify, the Parisians love Americana. For example, Isabel Marant, the current leader of French cool, is inspired season after season by the American wild west. In fact, Mademoiselle Marant was one of the first designers to bring “fringe and florals” back onto the runway. We suggest pairing down the trend with soft, fringed leather booties, and flowy, feminine florals. Toughen the look up by adding a utility jacket, or a denim shirt. On the other end, make this trend a little dressier by wearing a crisp button down shirt with your boots , or match your flowy florals with a pair of sharp stilettos.
