Summer in the Clouds

5.29.2013 WRITTEN BY Camilla Style Guide, T+P Blog Central

It’s partly cloudy and in the low to mid 60’s out in the fair cities of San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. We’ve been dedicating a lot of time on the blog to sprucing up your spring and summer wardrobe, so we thought we’d put together a little something for our lovely ladies from and around these cities. What’s a girl to wear in this climate? In a word: layers.

Layering is much easier to accomplish in the winter. Accomplishing this during the spring and summer months when all you really want to be wearing is shorts and sandals, is a little trickier. The best plan of attack is to add layering pieces in neutral tones that will work nicely back to your wardrobe no matter what the season.

Low 60's

A black leather motorcycle jacket, a denim jacket, a neutral blazer (white, black, navy, grey; you get the picture), a short trench, and a swingy open front sweater are all no fail options. We love a neutral blazer back to bright skinnies and slinky cami’s for summer. A black leather moto jacket paired back to a brightly colored maxi or little floral number also makes us giddy. Just pick the layering piece that best suits your style and personality and run with it. We promise those temperatures will have nothing on you.
