Home for the Holidays: What to Wear

12.19.2012 WRITTEN BY Camilla Style Guide

There’s nothing quite like spending the holidays at home cozied up to the fire with a warm cup of cocoa in your hand surrounded by those who are near and dear.  But just because you are home doesn’t mean that you can’t still look your fashionable best.  Comfort is definitely KEY here.

Some ideas… A soft pair of velvet skinnies will not only keep you warm, but will feel like a dream on.  Pair these back to a vibrant plaid or checked shirt.  A little embellishment (read:  pockets or collar) on your casual shirt is a cheeky touch.

My go to piece this holiday is a rich red draped front sweater that not only keeps me toasty, but is supremely comfortable.  Pull this look together with a wedge bootie or knee high boots.  Of course, you might soon be kicking them off and warming your tootsies fireside.
