Fitting 70’s Inspired Trends into Your Daily Wardrobe
T+P Stylist, Tiffany, gives you a quick guide to working 70’s inspired trends into your everyday wardrobe
Designers must be feeling nostalgic this season because slinking across the runways this spring are 70’s style trends for the modern woman. Some of this season’s spring looks are clean and sophisticated with a 70’s flare, a great trend for women to work into their career wear style. Billowy, flowing blouses and high-waisted wide leg pants with platforms are all the rage in these 70’s inspired looks — so reminiscent of Charlie’s Angels (yes, the original). Whether you’re crime fighting or working in the corporate world, these are a few updated 70’s styles that would transition great into to any working woman’s wardrobe.
The modern take on 70’s style can be seen here in this loose flowing blouse and high-waisted wide leg trouser pant with a skinny gold chain belt. A sharp, pulled together look that is so charming and chic!
For a flair of professionalism one of this season’s must haves is the white suit. Classic and modern rolled into a whole look with the white tailored jacket and the wide leg flare pant. This look just screams powerhouse woman! If you would rather opt for a more feminine look, this preppy 70’s look below works great. Love the crisp collared white shirt, fitted sweater and beige colored midi skirt (very Ali MacGraw in Love Story)!
Get ready to channel your inner Farrah with this high-waisted flare leg denim trouser and white silky blouse. One of my personal favorites! This is a great look if you are lucky enough to be able to wear denim to work or for casual Friday. Of course, pair with platform heels to dress up for that 70’s glam. I love this classic and timeless look!
