How to wear the Wide Leg
It’s been so long, it’s like we almost forgot a wide leg pant was even a possibility. After a few seasons of uncontested runs, the skinny pant is taking a mini-break (and trust us we mean mini because it’s still in full force in every spring and fall 2011 collection) to allow us all a little pant diversity. The wide leg takes on many forms from denim to twill to linen — the opportunities for wide leg love are many.

Remember proportions when dressing your new wide leg styles. Keep your tops tailored and hitting above mid thigh to keep things balanced. Avoid tunic and wide leg combos to keep from being overwhelmed by your clothes. Asymmetrical styles work perfectly with wide legs and skinnies! Here are a few pieces that are versatile and will fit excellently with your new wide legs:

Hemming: How long should your wide leg pants be? Rule of thumb: your wide leg or bootcut pants should always graze the ground at the back of the heel — not drag, graze).

This is a big fat NO NO!

This is a perfect YES YES!
