Fall Essential Handbags

10.31.2012 WRITTEN BY Angela Shopping trends, T+P Blog Central, What to Wear

I recently had a discussion with a girlfriend about how many bags a woman should own.  What it really comes down to is activities more than quantity.  Granted, you want to have enough to switch it up.  Here are a few categories and choices that are practical yet chic.

Work Bag

Oh Michael Kors, thank you for bringing the classics to the masses.  The Hamilton Tote inspired by the iconic Birkin Bag  will definitely feel like it has everything: handles, shoulder strap, and a bit of structure.

Day Bag

The Tote is probably the most practical for Moms who don’t want to sacrifice style for diapers and bottles.  Try keeping it sophisticated yet playful with an animal print that’s fun for kids and Mom!

Clutch

Clutches are like candy.   Nowadays a girl has to carry so much when leaving the house: wallet, mobile phone, keys, lipstick, and with an envelope clutch you can squeeze in a pair of flip flops!

Travel/Crossbody

The Coach Legacy Collection has made a comeback in a huge, or should I say “mini” way.  The leather Penny is great for travel or volunteering without all the fuss of a shoulder strap.  Let’s face it, very few can pull off the fanny pack

The Michael Kors Hamilton Tote is a MUST! I’ve had mine for 3 years now and it was one of the best investments ever made.

      Hi Kasey:

Thanks for confirming! What color do you have? I have a nice metallic silver that goes with EVERYTHING.
