Why I don’t believe in Style Icons by Maureen Borsodi

Choosing a style icon is next to impossible for me.  She changes based on the day, my mood, where I’m going, what type of event etc.etc. etc. Therefore, when I work with clients and ask them who their style icon is, I typically twist the question – to ask who they think always looks really well put together and who’s style they’d like to emulate.  So, if I asked myself the same the list would be as follows :

Jackie Kennedy for being effortless, approachable and appropriate dress that oozes a sense of style and eternal chic-ness:

Rachel Zoe for creating a fashion moment, or really a fashion movement in boho chic.  There was always bohemian, and always chic – but she combined the two that has become the essence of Southern California style:

Gwyneth Paltrow for being equal parts daring and dazzling:

Each of these women bring a different element – to both style and way of life, which is what I appreciate and love about drawing inspiration from so many different visions!
