Client Spotlight

4.24.2012 WRITTEN BY Ellie T+P Blog Central

We’re so impressed by our clients here at Tog + Porter, we just can’t keep from bragging about them just a little. We’re so honored to  work with such inspiring, smart, accomplished women every day that we had to start showing you all what great company you’re in.

First up, T+P client Siobhan Harley, she even has her own website-check it out. Siobhan is a Scottish expat who now calls Tampa, Florida home. She works as the Special Assistant to the Mayor of Tampa and always has fun adventures to share — like meeting President Obama (while wearing a jacket from T+P of course!). She’s razor sharp and as sweet as she is beautiful, which you can tell from her pics is VERY.

Our Q & A with Siobhan.

1. What’s your typical day look like?

One of the best parts about my job is that there is no such thing as a typical day. I live downtown and walk three blocks to City Hall in the morning. From there, my day could start at a press conference or in meetings for the latest event I’ve been tasked with planning. Anyone from the French Ambassador to a local troop of Boy Scouts could be scheduled to stop by the office. Every single day goes by quickly and I almost always have the opportunity to meet someone interesting or learn something new.

2. Top 3 things to do for fun?

I love to travel, read, and politick (of course).

3.  Favorite food & drink
I consider myself a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur. I will rarely turn down anything sweet. I’m also a huge fan of craft beer and lemon Perrier.

4. If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow with just a carry-on suitcase where would you be headed?

I would head back to my hometown of Glasgow, Scotland. It is one of the most underrated cities in Europe. Glasgow has a fantastic cultural sector, incredible nightlife, and great shopping. As always, I would need to a purchase a larger suitcase for the trip back!

5. What inspires you to do what you do every day?

I believe we have an obligation to leave the world in better shape than it was given to us. Anyone can make a difference.

6. Favorite T+P pieces?

My navy polkadot Collective Concepts racer-back because it is so versatile. The green Aryn K jacket makes me feel unstoppable. It is one of those pieces that earns me compliments everywhere I go (especially at our event with President Obama last week). Also, my All Black Missoni heels are not only super comfortable, they are usually the envy of the room!

7. Best thing about working with T+P & your stylist,  Maureen?

I can’t say enough good things about Maureen. She doesn’t miss a beat. Not only does Maureen understand the kind of look I want to craft, she really considers how a piece will fit into my life. Details like the kind of fabric or washing instructions can make the difference between a top or skirt being wearable or totally impractical. However, I think the single most fabulous thing about her is that she picks styles that I would have never considered and they always look fabulous.

Thanks for letting us style you Siobhan, we’re thrilled to be a part of your exciting life.

It was so inspiring to read about Siobhan, such a gorgeous, accomplished woman at such a young age! And super stylish to boot. 😉 That green jacket was such a find, probably my favorite piece on the whole board, it’s a show-stopper for sure.

Shannon, you said it well. That green jacket is beautiful. It reminds me of something Jackie O. would have worn.
