And It Was Called Yellow

CAUTION: chic comes in all shades.  As a stylist, I am told across the board yellow is the number one color a woman wants to avoid. One of our first questions during a Tog + Porter style consult is “Which colors do you love and which colors do you tend to avoid?” Surprisingly, the most avoided color is yellow.

As a stylist, I’m here to challenge this notion and ask WHY? With various shades and a hue seen on the Pantone color chart every season, this color can be both flattering and fun.  A bright way to add some punch to your ensemble, yellow shouldn’t seem so scary!

So maybe throw a little caution to the wind ladies and try a bit of yellow, it may turn out to be your next favorite color.
