We’re a fully boot-strapped, independent company, with no investors, just trying to do things a little differently in our little corner of the internet. Our vision has always been to provide an awesome service our clients keep coming back to. We believe personal styling should be personal and believe connecting clients directly to their own Tog + Porter stylist creates the best experience. We charge a $50 stylist’s fee on your first 2 TogBoxes. If you keep $250 or more (worth of merchandise) from either of your first two TogBoxes, we’ll waive the $50 fee for that box. Traditional personal stylists generally charge anywhere from $150 – $350 an hour, so we think our service is still a steal!
As you know, we ask our clients to be completely honest and upfront about their likes and dislikes. This is the only way a stylist can improve her selections for you. In return, we also like to be upfront and honest with our customers to ensure there are no surprise fees. In addition to the stylist’s fee on your first 2 boxes, we also charge a non-refundable $25 box assembly (handling) fee on every shipment. This is not a stylist’s fee. The assembly fee is exactly what it’s called. It goes towards shopping and assembling your TogBox in the most time efficient manner. The fee allows us to provide the highest level of service to our clients. Overall, this results in a much better customer experience for everyone and also helps us cover a portion of the costs associated with it.
Our clients select budgets ranging from $250 to $3,000+. We highly recommend setting your budget around $550 on your first 2 TogBoxes. For more information on clothing costs, please visit our pricing page for more information.
Your stylist’s job is to make you look & feel amazing and video-chatting is essential to fine-tuning your look and future deliveries. Our stylists are real people who personally select each item for you. Her top priority is you and making you look and feel fantastic everyday! However, our service does require a certain amount of participation from our clients. If you’re looking for a box of clothes to be shipped to you every month, with little to no input from your end, T+P might not be the service for you. We’re about fostering the stylist-client relationship and providing a true online personal styling service. We want to help you build a smarter wardrobe, with head-to-toe looks you can turn to when it’s one of those days. We are committed to a styling process that works!
You should set aside at least half an hour for your first meeting with a stylist. They typically last around 15-20 minutes, but sometimes go over. Your stylist will notify you once your TogBox has shipped and ask you to schedule a date for you Style Showing. A Style Showing generally takes anywhere between 20-40 minutes. Your stylist will ask you try on the clothes she’s picked for you. This is an integral part of the T+P process. Your stylist can’t improve her selections for you without seeing the clothes on you. If there’s a fit issue, she’ll quickly be able to identify it and will know what brands and styles might be better suited for you.
Don’t love a piece? No problem. We wouldn’t want you to keep anything you’re not 100% in love with. Making a return is really easy. A return bag and a pre-paid shipping label are included in each of our shipments. We accept returns up to 7 days from the date of receipt. Read through our Returns and Exchange Policy for more info.
We’re very protective of our clients and their information. We do not sell, distribute or market your information. All payment information is kept secure via authorize.net. Your contact information is only used by Tog+Porter to stay in touch and provide customer service.
